"Alternative Visions 2013," an exhibition of abstract artwork by some of Fairfield County's finest artists, will be on display from Sunday, March 3, through Saturday, March 30, at the Rowayton Arts Center. Award-winners in all media categories will be announced during a free opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The judge is award-winning painter and printmaker Mary Louise Long, whose work has been shown at galleries and universities throughout the United States and is represented in numerous private and public collections. Long was a studio art instructor at the Montclair Art Museum and a lecturer in art and curator at Bloomfield College. Winter hours at the RAC gallery are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (closed Sunday and Monday). Admission is free.
