A book sale organized by the Friends of the Norwalk Public Library System will run Oct. 26-29 at the library, 1 Belden Ave.
In advance of the general book sale, a sale of children's books only is planned from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.
The book sale dates and times are:
Saturday, Oct. 26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: All books sold as priced.
Sunday, Oct. 27, 1-4:30 p.m.: 50 percent off marked prices.
Monday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.: $4 a bag.
Tuesday, Oct. 29, 9 a.m.-noon: All remaining items free.
The sale will include a range of literary merchandise, including hardcover and paperback classics, contemporary fiction, science fiction and non-fiction, history, biography, arts, travel, cooking, self-help and reference.
Also featured will be decorative arts and children's books. In the audio section, there will be a variety of formats such as DVDs and CDs.
The Friends Cafe will be open at the library Saturday and Sunday to sell homemade refreshments.
Proceeds benefit the Norwalk Public Library system.
