Community Cooperative Nursery School continues art show tradition

The Community Cooperative Nursery School in Rowayton is having its 49th annual Art Show June 9 to 12. Well known to buyers for its sophistication and affordability, the show offers a wide variety of works from oils to watercolors, realism to abstract impressionism. This year's featured artist is Darien-based Andrea Bonfils. Her paintings include a wide variety of subject matter, including treescapes, crashing waves, cows, swimmers and divers, gardens, fogged landscapes and colored skies. Opening night is Thursday from 7-10. The show continues June 10 from 6 to 10 p.m., June 11 from 2 to 8 p.m. and June 12 from noon to 4 p.m. Admission for opening night is $25, which includes a weekend pass. Admission for all other nights is $10. Admission includes complimentary beverages and appetizers. The school is located at 4 Trolley Place. Visit www.ccnsartshow.com for information and directions. CCNS is a non-profit 501-c organization. Forty percent of all art sale proceeds will be donated to the school and are tax deductible.
