The Carver Center in Norwalk hosted a free hauntingly extravagant Halloween party for hundreds of Norwalk youth of all ages last Thursday.
The festivities included costume contests, cotton candy machines, face painting, arcade games, a "Sesame Street" bouncy castle, a bouncy obstacle course, a DJ and a mountain of pizza and treats. Kids also heard spooky stories, played games and competed for prizes. A haunted house on the Carver Community Center's second floor featured a maze of frightening images, spider webs, and Carver staff dressed in inspired costumes lurching out of hidden corners.
