Kids exercise their right to vote

While adults were voting at the polls on Election Day, kids were voting for their favorite authors at the South Norwalk Library. Voters received two ballots, one for picture book author candidates and one for chapter book author candidates.

The picture book author candidates were:

Eric Carle and Anne Rockwell

Dr. Seuss and Bill Peet

Mo Willems and Laura Numeroff

Jane O'Connor and Victoria Kann

The chapter book author candidates were:

J.K. Rowling and David Adler

Rick Riordan and Frank W. Dixon

Jeff Kinney and Marjorie Weinman Sharmat

Mary Pope Osborne and Carolyn Keene

Dr. Seuss and Bill Peet won with 49 votes and Jeff Kinney and Marjorie Weinman Sharmat won with 42 votes.
