Marjorie (Berney) Duke, 87, of Southbury, died Saturday, Nov. 28, at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Samuel Page Duke Jr.

Mrs. Duke was born June 9, 1922, in Bronx, N.Y., daughter of the late Sydney and Harriet (Cohen) Berney. She lived in Darien from 1954 until 1997 where she worked as an agent at Pierce Real Estate. After moving to Heritage Village in Southbury in 1997, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the Praxair Center of Danbury Hospital.

Survivors include by two sons, Stuart Duke of Weston, Vt., and Thomas Page Duke of Arlington, Va.; three sisters, Dorothy Guntner of Southbury, Leoni Ross of Highland Falls, N.Y., and Bernice Norman of Southbury; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. N. Burial will be private.
