MARK PRYOR, age 57, entered into his eternal life on Monday, June 28th, 2010 at his home in Rowayton. Mark was born in the suburbs of Chicago, Ill. on October 6th, 1958. After spending his younger years in the Chicago suburbs, Mark moved to Granville, Ohio after graduating high school to attend Denison University. Upon his graduation from Denison, Mark moved east to New York City to pursue a career in the magazine business. In New York, Mark started and finished his successful career in the magazine business. He became the editor in chief of a very large travel and vacation magazine before his early retirement in 2001. Uncle "Bud," as his family and childhood friends called him, was an avid reader with a passion for literature and politics. He was a very well read man with a very large collection of books. Unfortunately in 2000, Mark lost his entire book collection when his apartment in New York City was destroyed by a fire. After retiring in 2001, Mark moved to Rowayton, where he had family and had made a lot of friends over the years. Mark always loved being around his nieces and nephews. He loved to do the New York Times crossword puzzle every day. After moving to Rowayton, Mark worked as a bartender in a few local establishments, including Benny's Restaurant, where he became very well known as the "king" of the show Jeopardy. Mark was a well liked and soft spoken man. He leaves behind a large group of friends, and a loving family. Memorial contributions may be made to Darien Little League-Ben Bruno Scholarship, P.O.
