This weekend day promises to be relatively sunny, according to the National Weather Service, but there is a chance of light snow overnight.
The daytime high temperature in southwestern Connecticut will rise to about 40 degrees, according to the NWS, with a northwest wind 9 to 13 mph.
Tonight, clouds move in and scattered snow showers are possible after 2 a.m. Sunday. The temperature will dip to a low in the upper-20s, with a west wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Tomorrow will mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the low-40s and a west wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Nighttime brings a chance of flurries between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the upper-20s.
Monday should be sunny, with a high temperature near 40 degrees. It will be mostly clear at night, with a temperature dipping to a low in the mid-20s.
Tuesday also is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-40s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-30s.
The outlook for Wednesday, according to the weather service, is cloudy, temperatures in the 40s and possible showers.
