A team of 16 volunteers recently painted a mural depicting farm animals at the STAR Rubino Family Center on East Avenue.
The multi-panel mural, the work of volunteers from Reed Exhibitions, was designed by artist Ginny Frank Fischer of Wilton.
The mural illustrates the familiar children's song, "Old McDonald's Farm." The volunteers prepped and painted the large room before drawing the design and completing the intricate brushwork.
The "Old McDonald's Farm" room is used for activities and meetings attended by parents and their infants or children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their siblings, STAR therapists and other staff members.
STAR Rubino Family Center provides early intervention and therapies though its Birth to Three Program.
