The 2nd annual South Norwalk Community Day is set for Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Ryan Park in South Norwalk.
This year's theme, according to organizers, will be on informing residents about local colleges, programs and services available to them and their families, as well as providing activities for young people.
Admission is free.
Among the features will be a basketball tournament, food and music.
South Norwalk Community Day is co-sponsored by Trinity Financial, South Norwalk Community Center and the Democratic Town Committee. Partners include Serving All Vessels Equally (SAVE), St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Councilman Warren Pena and Vinny Mangiacopra.
A Better South Norwalk team members include: Travis Simms, Sandra Stokes, Ernie Dumas, Faye Bowman, Nabil Valencia and Martha Dumas. The group works to improve interactions between community stakeholders and community residents as well as increasing the number of positive opportunities for the youth of South Norwalk.
