It's freezing outside, so what better way to celebrate than by exploring one of the coldest countries on Earth?
During the holiday break, visitors can experience the history and culture of Russia through hands-on crafts at the Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk Friday, Dec. 28, and Monday, Dec. 31.
The activities, which are part of the museum's Around the World program, are free with museum admission (tickets are required). Each month, a different country is featured with activities highlighting the traditions of that country. Children will receive their very own Stepping Stones passport and have it stamped each time they visit the museum for an Around the World event.
The activities for Around the World: Russia are:
Russian Imperial Eggs -- Decorate an egg in the Faberge style. Friday, Dec. 28.
Marc Chagall -- Create a painting inspired by the iconic Russian artist. Monday, Dec. 31.
