Spencer Sagman, 19, of 86 West Norwalk Road, Norwalk, was arrested Aug. 8 on a charge of second-degree criminal mischief.
An arrest warrant was issued for Sagman, who turned himself in, following a July 13 incident in which he and two accomplices cut down a tree in Sellecks' Woods, said Darien police. A resident had obtained the license plate number of the trio's getaway car and reported it to police, according to the report.
Officers interviewed the three youths and found that Sagman had played the biggest role, said police. He also admitted he'd helped cut down the tree, according to the report.
He was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Aug. 8.
