'The King and I' comes to life at Ponus Ridge

Earlier this month Ponus Ridge Middle School students, under the direction of drama teachers Maggie Tomasiewicz and Ron Testa, performed "The King and I." The cast/crew of more than 75 students practiced for more than 300 hours before performing five shows. Based on the novel "Anna and the King of Siam" by Margaret Landon, the play tells the story of Anna Leonowens, who arrives in Siam to serve as a tutor to the King's many children. Both stuck in their seperate cultural ways, the two eventually learn to understand, respect and love each other.
