Volunteers are needed to staff the 35th annual SoNo Arts Celebration in South Norwalk. The celebration will take place in South Norwalk on Aug. 6 and 7 with a special kick-off event on Friday evening.

The SoNo Arts Celebration is a fun-filled two day event that provides a wide variety of activities and entertainment for the whole family: fine arts and crafts, food and lively entertainment in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

Volunteers are needed to help with event set-up, exhibiting artist relief, maintenance, the Puppet Parade and much more at the celebration.

SoNo Arts Celebration president Mark Minnock noted, "This is a perfect opportunity for everyone to volunteer and do something really positive to help the South Norwalk community.

There is a huge variety of important tasks that need to be done throughout the weekend."

Minnock added, "Our volunteers have a great time working with other members of the community to create a hugely successful celebration. Without the dedication of local men and women, who volunteer their time and energy, our celebration simply wouldn't be possible."

SoNo Arts Celebration staff will brief, guide and support volunteers. Everyone who signs up to help at the event will receive a special T-shirt to wear on the day.
