Or, is it that in-your-face pose she struck at the Academy Awards when she thrust out her leg through the hip-high slit in her gown?

[...] Jolie has decided to announce to the world through an op-ed piece in The New York Times that she has undergone a double mastectomy and reconstruction to reduce the chances of her getting cancer, the disease that took her own mother's life.

In her article, Jolie states that she is going public with her surgery as a way to encourage other women with a family history of breast or ovarian cancer "to seek out the information and medical experts" in order to make "informed choices" for their own medical care.

For, while she can afford the gene testing and the best medical care, including surgery and reconstruction and have the money to hire people to assist in childcare and other family responsibilities, her financial situation is far different than the average woman .

Norwalk resident Nina Marino, clinical director for the Breast Cancer Survivor Center, based in Fairfield County, agrees that it is important for women to know their options.

[...] speaking of mauve, it was a popular color in the 1980's because women thought it looked great next to well-tanned skin, which most of us acquired by (skipping class and) laying out by the pool, marinating in Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil (SPF 0), which leads me to Rule #2--Never leave the house without wearing broad spectrum (SPF 50) sunscreen, and avoid tanning as a sport.

[...] let's say that one night after work (I'll let Michelle and Oprah cover the topic of your future fulfilling career options), you and your girlfriends decide to go out for drinks, and after one margarita too many, you find yourselves stumbling down a street that has both a piercing studio and a tattoo parlor.

In that case, be sure to follow Rule #3--Forget the ink, and always go with the piercings.

Because worst case scenario, the results of these impromptu piercings will require some ointment and a round or two of antibiotics.

First of all, as far as the epidural goes, I guarantee that even with the drugs, you'll still feel enough pain to be properly "in the moment," and secondly, when it comes to documenting the actual entrance of your children into the world, do you really want them one day seeing your feet encased in stirrups while you wildly scream, "I will freakin' kill you if you ever touch me again!" to their father?

[...] I guarantee that you will spend a significant chunk of your future scouring sales at your favorite stores, in which case it's imperative to keep in mind Rule #8--Some things are worth paying full price.

[...] while we're talking about medical procedures, please pay attention to the potentially life-saving Rule #9--When you get either an email notice or actual postcard via snail mail reminding you that it's time for your yearly pap smear, mammogram, or general lady parts checkup...make sure that you go.

[...] I will graciously wrap it up by leaving you with a parting quote from Oh, the Places You'll Go: You're off to great places!

At the doctor's office you have been replaced by a laptop

The verb "see" is a euphemism for your being escorted into a procedure room but as far as the doctor actually setting eyes on you once he arrives is another matter.

While you impatiently wait, you self-weigh, snitch a pair of synthetic gloves to use while polishing silver and don a paper bolero that fits any size but you.

According to the biopsy results," he said, "we'll do a simple slice and stitch.

[...] he looked up from the laptop, pushed a button which apparently called his nurse.

When the drug Dr. HighTech had prescribed left me weak in the knees, I stopped the medication even though I had been warned to complete the full regimen.

Four hours later, still waiting and even weaker, I drove back to the doctor's office where I suspected that I would find actual Life.

There's an option on your Telephone Tree that says `if you know your party's extension, enter it now.'

Andy Garfunkel served as the Democratic town clerk for 10 years and ran as the 2011 Democratic mayoral candidate, Matt Miklave served on the Common Council for 10 years as a Democrat out of District A and Vinny Mangiacopra has worked on several Democratic candidate campaigns during the past 10 years and is currently serving as the chairman of District D.

While Andy Garfunkel was actively campaigning as a Democrat for Moccia's seat, Rilling was lending his community leadership credibility in favor of Republicans and aligning himself against the Democratic Party and those who ran on the 2011 ticket, such as Matt Miklave (candidate for in-district "A" councilman), Vinny Mangicopra (candidate for sheriff ) and even Chairwoman Amanda M. Brown (candidate for in-district "C" councilman).

How could you praise Moccia in 2011 and run against him in 2013? "Electibility" or not, the old guard political machine behind Rilling should know that voters like me won't be deceived by these tactics this time.
